There are many different ways to present the information.
The simplest is a volume report as a text file giving the areas and volumes of cut and fill for each surface code.
Cross sections can be produced at any interval across the site which are a useful visual aid to the site works and can be used to get an approximate volume. The closer together the sections the more accurate the figure will be but it is unlikely to exactly match the volume report.
Another useful way of displaying information is by isopachyte contours. These are contour lines that join points with the same amount of cut or fill and drawing with these contours overlayed on a site layout can quickly show the areas require most work. A drawing of this type can be invaluable when programming operations and determining haul distances.
For a general view of the site the DTM can be displayed as a 3D image with rendering. This can be further developed into a fly through of the site.
